Gyrator was built to be a low-profile, high energy shell spinner. With its 7075 Aluminum ring, Titanium impactor, direct-soldered custom battery, tangent driven wheels, and a unique direct drive setup designed to transfer shock loads through the steel ring of the weapon motor without snapping the shaft, Gyrator is able to store more energy in its weapon then most beetles! It has only competed twice so far and went 0-2 at its first event due to insufficient time to attach the shell, but it got big hits and took little damage. It went 0-1 at its second event due to the shell rubbing on the ground and preventing spin up.
